what they do?
His visual art is usually manipulated digital photography and much of it to date has been portraiture and self-portraiture featuring atypically rendered Bermudiana. He also produces digital video shorts using stills, animation, text, music, video, song and spoken word. Some images contain text from poetry that he has written. Increasingly he creates projects that involve images, text and performance.
what we created?
Together we shared ideas which inspired Alan to creat the floral gif on the the hauteghetto.org landing page. The use of florals was already in his arsenal of digital works so the use of it for the website was challenging and exciting.
what’s next?
At the moment Alan is drying flowers for a project and, other than regularly writing, either poetry or developing long-form prose projects, he is still currently in my W1ldfl0w3r5 creative space when it comes to visual art. He is looking to expand somewhat from digital photo and video based creations to the occasional material effort.
